This, is what happens when I let Rob pick the movie. Dirty Harry. I have to say I was a little skeptical, but knowing that Clint Eastwood is a total bad ass I kept an open mind. Despite the cheesy special effects, the movies were pretty good!

After our first snow storm in December, I wasn't thrilled. Now we are having another one!!! It has been snowing non-stop ALL day. The dogs don't care much for it. Cinnamon is pretty glad she is a big dog, considering she can stand in the snow. Poor Hannah has short little legs and the snow sticks to her fur, belly, paws, nose etc.....
The good news is that today was the worst of it. There is no snow forecast for tomorrow. Hopefully.

Pizza Friday! Since moving here, we try a new place every Friday. Today it was Pizza Express. We ordered the western pizza and it was pretty yummy although I would have preferred less BBQ sauce. So far our favorite pizza is from Uno Chicago Grill.

We have been in Virginia for 7 weeks now. I'm not exactly adjusting well. I have alot on my plate and Rob took notice and decided to send me flowers to lift my spirits. What a nice guy! I think I'll keep him.

So, I have no clue why they uploaded sideways. But I do know other bloggers have had the same problem.

Today was a big day! I joined a gym and will meet with my trainer on Thursday. Yikes!
I am so excited to get back into the gym and get all buff n stuff! This gym is really nice and has group classes and water aerobics! They even have a smoothie bar for that post workout refreshment! Mmm

Yes, that says 10k. It isn't a typo. I love to run and have been wanting to get back into it! I heard an ad for this race on the radio and decided a 10k is the best motivation to get me running again. This picture is also the reason I joined the gym. I want to improve my endurance and have a decent finish time. I have also downloaded an app (yes mom, another one) that is called Couch to 10k. It trains you for a 10k race in just 13 weeks. Great! I have 8 weeks till the race! Better get running! Wish me luck!

Hooray! I have ONE room cleaned and pretty! This is the front room. It faces the street and you can see a little bit of it when driving by. Which, is why I picked this room to clean. When people drive by and they happen to look in, they will see a nice clean room and a pretty collage frame hung on the wall. What they ARE NOT able to see, is the disaster beyond the front room! It's a work in progress! Don't judge me :)

Today, Rob and I tackled our DVDs. It started with me suggesting we get rid of the ones we never watch. Well, having Rob get rid of things is not the easiest thing in the world. Eventually he gave in, but his criteria for keeping "his" movies were "if it has guns and dead bodies, keep" We didn't get rid of a whole bunch, but made room for more!

Then we had the task of alphabetizing. Oh joy. I decided to put a few categories together (ie. Disney, Clint Eastwood, Harry Potter). We worked together for an hour or so and it's complete! I personally feel they look so much better organized. :)

Rob and I LOVE ice cream. I had heard about this place and decided to give it a try. I mentioned to the ice cream lady that we usually go to that "other" place, you know, the one that rhymes with Old Bone Steamery, and she immediately proceeded to tell me why Maggie Moo's is better. I admit I was skeptical. I like to think I am pretty faithful to my ice cream places, chicken places, chili dog places etc.
I sampled a couple of flavors before I settled on a cotton candy concoction. It was fantastic! Cotton candy ice cream with mini marshmallows and m&ms. They were the MINI m&ms NOT the big ones. And, since my ice cream was blue, I couldn't see all the colors running together (which disturbs me for some reason)

Next time we go back, I will be trying their s'mores concoction. I can't wait!

It's that time of year that I dread! Cinnamon is shedding :( She has these little "tufts" all over her and you can just pull them off, or they just fall off. I try to brush her everyday, which she actually enjoys, but the fur just keeps multiplying!

Valentine's Day is coming! My favorite part of this holiday ISN'T the chocolate. It's the conversation hearts! They are the best! However, they are usually sold in big bags or in like boxes of 18. I found them in bulk at a Hallmark store and mentioned to the lady that the white ones were my fave. So she starts to pick (with her gloved hand) the white ones out! What a nice lady! For the whole bag it cost only 65 cents! I love Valentine's Day!!!

At first look, this picture looks kinda gross. But, I am here to tell you it was yummy! Rob and I were deciding what we should have for dinner and he came up with the idea of ramen with hamburger. I was very skeptical at first, but it turned out really good! And it was so easy! I think next time I am going to added shredded cheese on top! Mmmm

I have a sick hubby today :( The poor guy was up at 3am, which meant I was up as well. I moved into the guest room to let him sleep and hopefully avoid his cooties. He had a rough morning, but his evening has been pretty quiet. Here's hoping the night goes smoothly as well.

So, Rob decided we needed a fire pit to burn some of the twigs and what not from our mini forest in the backyard. So, then I decided we needed to break it in by making s'mores! They turned out ooey gooey delicious! Rob felt the need to point out that I prolly shoudn't set my marshmallow on fire. So, then I felt the need to point out, that is the best way to have it!!!!

Dear Old Faithful Sound Machine,

You have served me well over the past several years. You successfully masked sounds of dogs barking, traffic and even snores from Ra. You always traveled well. You even had the ability to play tricks on us. There were several occasions where both Rob and myself would sit up in the middle of the night and say "did you hear that?" I would always hear music, Rob would always hear talking. One thing you NEVER did was stop working. Thanks.

I hope you find comfort knowing that while your replacement is totally bad ass (it projects the time on the ceiling) you were my first and by far the best! You will be missed. Happy Trails

Rob and I have noticed a ton of vanity plates since moving here! I knew I would eventually take a picture of one, but I was waiting for the PERFECT one! Today, I went to Short Pump Town Center for a little shopping and......I found this!! I LOVE Hello Kitty!!! Yay for this driver! Although, I believe that WSTMN01 is still the coolest vanity plate :)

Rob and I went to Norfolk today to the Nauticus museum. The exhibit we were really excited for was called 'Real Pirates'. Unfortunately, real pictures were not allowed. Real Pirates was awesome! We got to touch actual pirate treasure and there was soo much history to read about! I can't imagine all the time and effort it took to set up. After the pirates, we explored the rest of the museum, Rob's favorite part was the Battleship Wisconsin. We got to walk all around the decks and peek into the windows of the battleship. Rob was a little disappointed that we couldn't actually go into the ship, I on the other hand was perfectly happy with that news. (Big ships are freaky) We took some pictures, but this one was my favorite of the day. :)

So, most people talk about "the things people don't tell you about being pregnant". Well, I want to talk about "things people don't tell you about 2 story houses." I have learned 2 VERY important things since moving into our 2 story.

#1 Everything you need when you are upstairs, is downstairs and everything you need when you are downstairs, is upstairs. #2 Stairs are very dangerous when its dark. Enter motion sensor lights! These things are wonderful! I have one at the bottom of the stairs and one at the top. So now, when I have a craving for a turtle (see post 12/365) at 3 am, I will make it downstairs safe and sound!

So, both of my girls have been caught with their noses in the pantry on more than one occasion. Hannah is always a little more daring. Here she is standing on their food storage bin for leverage. She also has amazing balance and was standing on her hind legs for some time. Crazy schnoodle. :)

I like chocolate, but wouldn't classify myself as a chocoholic. However, these are AMAZING. I first heard of them when an employee at Best Buy was soo upset that they were out of them. I thought, well they must be very good! And I was right! Next time you are out, give them a try! Sorry, mom they aren't sugar free. But like I always say..... "I'm not a diabetic"

Ahh Target. When we were at Ft. Sill the closest Target was a 45 minute drive. So you can imagine my excitement when finding out there is one just 3.3 miles from the house!!! I went today after spending most of the day unpacking the bedroom. It was nice to walk around and look at everything without worrying about getting home! I love Target. :)

Sunday Morning Breakfast at Denny's. Like most people, Rob and I know that if you choose Denny's you are in for long waits, cold food and not so friendly service. We decided to ignore this and give our Denny's a try. We were pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was wonderful, drinks were full and food was yummy! Thumbs up Denny's! And Thumbs up for the Cherry Cherry Limeade! Mmmm

BEST. MOM. EVER. Oh Urban Decay! How I love it so! I am an eyeshadow fanatic! Last year Urban Decay came out with Book of Shadows Vol 1 and they sold it in Sephora stores. I missed out on it, but in it's place got a really awesome eyeshadow vault that holds 18, yes I said 18 eyeshadows! And it's full btw :) So this year Urban Decay did it again, and stupid me thinks it would be sooo easy to get one a week or so after Christmas! Ha! How wrong I was! Enter Best Mom Ever. She can find ANYTHING on the internet! So I gave her the Book of Shadows Vol 2 as her assignment. The SAME day she calls and says "It's on it's way" I say, "shut the front door! no way!!" Like I said Best. Mom. Ever!

Holy Coach Batman! Rob and I ventured up to our PX today. Most of them carry some sort of selection. And the really cool part is that they are not behind a case or guarded by some snooty sales lady! I was very very happy to find Ft. Lee had a BIG selection! Woo hoo :)

Ahh Sephora....ONE of my obsessions is mascara. For the past 2 years Sephora has come out with a "Lash Stash" it is a sampler of different mascaras. My mom got it for me last year and because I love mascara oh sooo much, I had already used most of the ones in the kit. Well, this year the kit was even better! And I had only used 4 of the 10 in the kit! I usually find a new favorite and this year the winner is Smashbox Lash DNA. But then again I also liked Korres too....oh and Fresh Supernova was great! Hmm.....

I am finally going to get a crock pot! My mom swears by hers and for those of you who know me, know that the easier the recipe is, the better! This book has anything you can imagine! It has like 6 pages of meatball recipes! And you can even make cakes too! I can't wait to try out the recipes! Better head to Target for a crock pot first! :)
